Students & Families

Parents' Association

Sacred Heart School thrives because of the incredible support and involvement of our parents. Through volunteering, forming lifelong friendships, and contributing to our community, parents play a vital role in enriching the school experience. Whether it’s helping with pizza lunch, supporting special events, or showing appreciation to our teachers, there’s a place for everyone to make an impact.

We need you! Membership in SHPA is automatic upon enrollment and includes all parents and guardians. Together, we can strengthen our school community, share our talents, and create lasting bonds. Our next SHPA board slate will be selected in March 2026, but we welcome support year-round!

Our Mission

Fostering Faith & Compassion: To unite families in a community of faith, encouraging students to act with compassion, work for justice, and share their God-given talents in service to society.

Building Community: Promoting a sense of community among parents, faculty, staff, and students.

Partnering for Excellence: Collaborating with the school administration to ensure the best opportunities for Sacred Heart students.

Massachusetts requires all schools to conduct criminal background checks (CORI) every three years on current and prospective employees. Volunteers, school transportation providers, and others who may have direct and unmonitored contact with children, need to complete a CORI every year.

Since it may take several days to conduct and review such a check, parents/guardians who have not had a CORI check through Sacred Heart School during the year may wish to do so at the beginning of the school year. With your completed CORI check kept in our confidential file, you will then be able to volunteer or chaperone any time during the year. CORI checks require proof of identity in the form of a government-issued photographic identification, such as a driver’s license.

Go to our Resources page to download and fill out a CORI form. Once the information is filled in, you will need to print the form and bring it along with your government-issued identification to the Central Office at the ECC or ES.
